Land Acknowledgement

At Unbound, we recognize that our work takes place on lands that have been cared for and stewarded by Indigenous Peoples since time immemorial.

In Toronto, we acknowledge that we are guests on the traditional territory of many Nations, including the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishinaabe, the Haudenosaunee, the Chippewa, and the Wendat Peoples. Toronto is covered by Treaty 13 and the Williams Treaties and remains home to many First Nations, Inuit, and Métis communities.

In Vancouver, we acknowledge that we live and work on the unceded ancestral territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations, whose enduring relationships with these lands and waters continue to shape the region.

As planners, architects, and landscape architects, we recognize that every place carries stories that long predate us. We are committed to listening, learning, and approaching our work with humility, fostering relationships and creating places that honour the land, support community, and contribute to a more equitable and resilient future.
